Performance Solutions Works with
High-Performance Executives

 

Performance Solutions recently partnered with a Fortune 500 hospitality client in their desire to build bench strength and ensure a greater succession of high-potential senior-level talent.  The goals of this succession planning assessment included:

  • Building on high capacity talent
  • Providing focused assessment & development
  • Developing a deep bench of leaders

High potential Managers and Directors were identified and invited to attend a 2-day assessment and performance event.  Prior to attending each program participant responded to a rigorous ‘360’ and MBTI assessment, asked to summarize strengths and weaknesses, and encouraged to read a series of prepared documents and book chapters. 

Upon arrival to the 2-day Event, each participant was placed into small teams, handed a series of packets containing customized simulated routine and extraordinary problems, and then were charged with working through each problem as a member of a special Task Force at the Director level.  After a day-and-a-half of deliberations, each team reported their findings to a panel composed of senior staff from the organization and Performance Solutions Consultants for validation and critique. 

Deliverables of the Simulation Assessment Event included:

Ø      Build technical, managerial, communication, and leadership skills

Ø      Build camaraderie and teamwork among all Managers

Ø      Enhance the awareness of organizational best practices through routine ‘inbox’ decision-making in addition to extraordinary/crisis problem solving

Ø      Further the organization’s commitment to promote exceptional talent from within to a growing list of opportunities in the expanding hospitality business.

A few days following the event, each senior-level Manager received comprehensive feedback one-on-one from Performance Solutions Consultants to further highlight strengths and weakness as it relates to leadership, problem solving, decision-making, teambuilding, and change agent skills, while reinforcing the organization’s interest and criteria in each participants’ professional growth.  Each participant walked away with a comprehensive Personal Development Plan for the next year.
